Exploring Ethnic Vegetables
In and around our larger cities and increasingly out in suburban areas, ethnic communities are expanding. This presentation was made to a small farmers' meeting sponsored by the Cornell Vegetable Program, Ontario County CCE, and through funding by GVRMA. The presentation covered discovering what communities are out there, vegetable varieties available, and marketing. Future work will focus on reporting results from variety trials and marketing economics.

Indoor Mushroom Cultivation, Post-Harvest Handling, and Food Safety

This workshop is intended for mushroom producers and those considering mushroom production. Hosted by CCE Wyoming County the workshop includes a tour and discussion of Flat#12 Mushroom production process, from substrate to sales, including their food safety plan creation, implementation, and the audit process. Alternative production methods will also be discussed.
